Satellite Direct: Positives And Negatives

Satellite Direct is one of those products that, on the surface, seem to solve a lot of your problems. It seems that it will provide you a solution to your monthly cable fees woes. However, that isnt the question. the question is if the product is a wise purchase?

What is your reason for buying it? That will answer most of your questions. Does it stream 3500 channels? No, not really. Though it doesnt stream 3500, it streams a considerable number of channels: 1500+.

This list does not consist major sports, entertainment or any other channel in the major category though, as my Satellite Direct Review will tell you. The list consists of channels that can mostly be found for free on the Internet. The fact is, there is nothing better than DTH or cable lines at streaming good quality streams directly to your home at a minimal price.

The fact that it requires an internet connection is another issue. With a slow Internet line, you may not be able to stream it even. Even if you do so, you will hit your bandwidth limit pretty quickly because of video content being heavy in size. One way or the other, you end up paying a monthly fee.

Having said that, if you know what you are purchasing and are, instead, looking for these channels only, I would not hesitate in recommending the product. It isnt something you can classify as a bad product to be honest. That is unless you expect it replace your cable lines.

You can rest assured that the product does most of what it claims. What is unfathomable is the absolutely incredible amount of hype that it carries. It is a herculean task almost impossible, actually! to find a review that is an actual review. Most of them are biased and concentrate on the positive aspects of the product.

Whenever you are purchasing anything on the Internet, it would be advisable to visit some forums that discuss these types of products. There are several respected review sites too (for example, CNet, etc) where you may find a Satellite Direct review. The best way, however, would be to ask someone who has purchased this product and has seen what it has to offer.

Finally, believe in your own research. Get the details of the creators. It wouldnt be a big deal if you call them on the numbers provided on their website either, to be honest. Ensure that the company that creates these products exists before you purchase the product. Extensive research goes a long way.
